In times of war, we feel the value of simple things even more deeply: the closeness of loved ones, the warmth of words, the shared silence at the table. This holiday unites Ukrainians in the certainty that night is never eternal, and light always finds its way.
In thought and prayer, we are today beside those who keep the night at bay – our defenders. Their courage has given us the chance to be together. During this Christmas season, we bow before their service and thank them for the strength that gives birth to hope, brings peace closer, and opens the future.
